Publishing Policies
Our publishing policies are based on transparency, research integrity, ethical publishing practices, and a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality.
Editorial & Indexing
TBP follows international editorial standards and works to enhance the visibility of its publications through recognized indexing services, digital identifiers (DOIs), and global academic databases.
Publication Schedule
TANMEAH BASSMAH Press publishes two regular issues annually. The publication dates are scheduled for the last day of June and the last day of December each year. This fixed publication schedule ensures timely dissemination of high-quality scholarly research while maintaining rigorous editorial and peer-review standards.
TBP publishes two issues per year, released on 30 June and 31 December, following a fixed biannual publication schedule.
Publication Time
TBP is committed to providing an efficient editorial process. The average publication timeline is 4–8 weeks after successful peer review, depending on the journal, reviewers’ reports, and authors’ revisions.
Limited Liability Company “Consulting Publishing Company “TANMEAH BASSMAH” is a company, which:
• is a publisher of international academic journals;
• on a voluntary basis, holds the events, directed towards development and harmonization of academic journals towards the best world practices;
• realizes the project on the assessment of academic journals with regard to their compliance with international publishing standards (Journal’s International Compliance Index (JIC Index));
• provides the consulting services concerning the establishment of the academic journal and its management.
LLC “ba9mah” was established in 2019 (Jordan). The company name was changed in 2023 to become “TANMEAH BASSMAH”. The Company is a privately-owned commercial organization, which is funded at the expense of article processing charge (APC) for open-access articles, publishing of books, payments for consulting and other services, advertising and other activities stipulated by the legislation of Jordan and Company’s Statute.
We are full of ambitious plans. That is why the company constantly invests in WEB-platform development, innovative projects and, most importantly, human resource development. The company will support scientists from Jordan and other countries with emerging economies, and developing countries. For them, we apply full or partial financing of processing the best articles at the expense of the company. This is about 15 percent of the published articles. We feel the impact of competition in the publishing market. This does not frighten, but inspires us. We believe in the future of Jordanian science and are ready to work towards it. We finance the development and implementation of the Journal’s International Compliance Index (JIC Index) to help young and promising Jordanian journals in their quest for best publishing practices. We are also ready to cooperate with such journals as a publisher and invite them to our publishing platform.
We are very grateful to all scholars who believed and still believe in possibility to create and develop Jordanian scholarly journals, which are open to the world society. ” Funding and Expense Coverage”
As a non-profit organization, TBP covers its expenses and ensures the provision of free and open-access content through several funding sources:
- Article Processing Charges (APC): The company charges fees for processing open-access articles, which helps cover publishing costs.
- Book Publishing and Consulting Services: These services include assisting academics in establishing and managing academic journals.
- Advertisements and Other Activities: Additional support is received through advertisements and other activities as stipulated by Jordanian legislation and the company’s statute.
- Funding for Scientists from Emerging Economies and Developing Countries: The company allocates a portion of its funds to support the processing of the best articles from these scientists, accounting for about 15% of the published articles.

Guidelines for Editors and Reviewers
Editorial Board Roles and Responsibilities
The Editorial Board is composed of international experts in various fields, all holding positions at educational and research institutions. Their responsibilities include:
- Providing expertise in specific research areas.
- Evaluating submitted manuscripts and involving independent reviewers.
- Advising on journal policy and scope, contributing to journal development.
- Proposing topics and conferences for special issues, and potentially serving as guest editors for these issues.
- Promoting the journal at conferences, seminars, workshops, and public events.
- Attracting new potential authors.
Guest editors are crucial in maintaining the quality of special content publications, overseeing the entire process from proposal to publication.
The Editorial Board undergoes a review every two years to exclude inactive members and add new ones.
We welcome applications from prospective editorial candidates. To apply, please send an email to the Managing Editor of the chosen journal, including a CV detailing your current place of work, occupation, education, scientific interests, activities, publications, editorial or reviewer positions in other journals, contact email, and a link to your university personal page.
Duties of Editors
Editors should familiarize themselves with and adhere to COPE Core Practices. Their responsibilities include:
- Deciding which submitted articles will be published, consulting with Editorial Board members as needed.
- Ensuring fair play by evaluating manuscripts without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
- Maintaining confidentiality by not disclosing information about submitted manuscripts except to relevant parties (authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher).
- Avoiding the use of unpublished materials from submitted papers in their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
Guidelines for Reviewers
LLC “TBP “TANMEAH BASSMAH PRESS- PUBLISHER” values an effective peer review process and provides the necessary resources to reviewers to carry out their work efficiently. The reviewing process may vary between journals, but the following guidelines apply:
Reviewers should familiarize themselves with and follow COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
Personal and Professional Information: Reviewers should provide accurate personal and professional information, including verifiable contact details.
Confidentiality:
- Reviewers must not discuss the manuscript with anyone without the Editor’s permission.
- They may seek input from one or two colleagues with the Editor’s explicit permission, mentioning their involvement in the Comments to Editors section of the Referee Report.
- They should not copy, share, or use manuscript information for any purpose.
Standards of Objectivity:
- Reviews should be objective, with comments and recommendations supported by relevant arguments.
Timeliness:
- Reviewers should respond to review invitations promptly.
- They should agree to review only if they can return the review within the proposed or agreed timeframe.
- Reviews should be completed by the indicated deadline, and any delays should be communicated to the Handling Editor immediately.
Competing Interests:
- Reviewers should remain unbiased by the authors’ nationality, religious or political beliefs, gender, or commercial interests.
- They should disclose any potential competing interests that could bias their review.
- If reviewers have recent connections with the authors (e.g., within the past three years), they should decline the review invitation.
- Reviewers should not accept manuscripts solely to gain access without intending to submit a review.
- Reviewing a manuscript previously reviewed for another journal is permissible but should be noted in the Comments to Editors section.
